Duin & Kruidberg Estate is a unique place where history, nature, and gastronomy converge. With our restaurant, bar, banqueting, and events, we offer our guests a complete culinary experience. To strengthen our kitchen team, we are looking for a passionate Sous Chef who will contribute with passion and craftsmanship to the quality and experience for which we are known.

What are you going to do?

As a Sous Chef, you'll be the Head Chef's right-hand man and play a key role in guiding and inspiring the kitchen team. You'll ensure the smooth running of daily operations, monitor quality, and contribute ideas for new dishes and presentations. Your responsibilities include:

- Directing, coaching and motivating the kitchen team;

- Ensuring the quality, presentation and taste of all dishes;

- Co-developing menus, seasonal specials and banqueting concepts;

- Ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines and hygiene regulations;

- Supporting the Head Chef with planning, purchasing and inventory management;

- Participate in the kitchen and set a good example;

- Collaborating with other departments to ensure our guests have an unforgettable experience.

Who are you?

You're an experienced chef with demonstrable leadership experience in a professional kitchen and a keen eye for detail. You enjoy teamwork, have a strong sense of taste and presentation, and derive satisfaction from motivating others. Additionally:

- Do you have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position within the catering or hotel industry?

- Are you stress-resistant, organized and quality-oriented;

- Do you have knowledge of modern cooking techniques and a love for fresh, seasonal products?
