The former Castle of Brederode is located a five-minute bike ride from the Estate. The castle was built in the late 13th century by Dirk van Brederode's son Willem and his wife Hillegonda van Voorne. For many years, the castle was used by the noble "Huis Brederode" family, and the remaining ruins are now perfectly suited for various exhibitions, with activities organized there between February and September.

Zuid-Kennemerland National Park is a large, pristine dune landscape of approximately 3,800 hectares located between Zandvoort and IJmuiden. This park offers the perfect opportunity to take a walk or bike ride through shifting dunes, along dune lakes, through centuries-old oak forests, and past former estates.

The largest golf course in Europe is located in Spaarnwoude. The course consists of 66 holes divided over 7 loops. Golf Course Spaarnwoude is a public course and offers many different facilities.
