The restaurant owes it unusual name – ‘Friends of Jacob’ – to the original resident of the country house, Jacob Theodoor Cremer. Country Estate Duin & Kruidberg, the accommodation where ‘de Vrienden van Jacob’ is situated in, breathes classic allure. The aesthetic entourage creates a beautiful contrast with the friendly and personal manner whereupon your will be welcomed for lunch or dinner. The kitchen team, led by SVH-certified Meesterkok Alain Alders prepares a range of French-Mediterranean and seasonal dishes. The restaurant was awarded a Michelinstar in 2005 and got regularly amazing reviews in leading culinary magazines. It is based in the former ‘summer’ lounge and closed veranda of the Cremer family’s country house and can seat up to 40 guests.
